The WISE Village is a supportive environment in which future engineers, mathematicians, statisticians and scientists engage in focused inquiry within their disciplines and begin to develop the skills and talents necessary to become successful professionals. WISE provides tutoring three nights a week for Calculus, Physics, and Chemistry. Tutoring is drop-in with no appointment necessary and conveniently takes place in the WISE conference room, just off the Lee Lobby. At the beginning of each semester, WISE hosts a Study-Group sign-up event to help students network and form study groups for the semester.
WISE hosts academic enrichment activities throughout the academic year, including: speaker series, industry connections, K-12 outreach, community service opportunities, workshops, and more. All students, regardless of gender, are welcome to participate in these activities! WISE regularly partners with organizations and departments around campus to provide students with as many opportunities as possible. Faculty Connections are some of our favorite events; students are invited to a lunch and learn with a faculty member in the WISE Conference Room, providing a more intimate connection with campus and visiting faculty.
The WISE Village also has lounges that are equipped with computers and resource materials for studying in groups and individually.
*All non-residential programming, advising, and tutoring is open to all NC State students, regardless of gender.
